What Is It?

Microsoft Office, also known as Office 365, is a software package that contains Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other applications. 

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

There are different levels of eligibility depending on your role at Lipscomb. 

Students: All Lipscomb students have a license to install Office on their personal computers and use Office Online as well. 

Staff: Certain Lipscomb employees have a license to use Office installed on their Lipscomb-owned and managed computers only. All may use Office Online. 

Faculty: Most full-time Faculty with Lipscomb-owned and managed computers may use Office installed on their device and use Office Online.

Adjunct Faculty: Adjuncts have a license to use Office Online Apps only. 

Where Can I Get It?

Online Apps: You have access to Microsoft Office through the my.Lipscomb Portal at my.lipscomb.edu. You may find the Office Online apps on the "All Apps" page of my Lipscomb. The Online apps are also available at Office.com.

Installed Apps: If you want to download and install Office, you can login to your my.Lipscomb Portal. On the home page you will see your initials on the upper right hand corner of the screen, indicating your account. If you click on the initials, it will bring up a menu where you can "View Account". On the next "My Account" page, there will be a link labeled "Office Apps" where you are able to download and install the Office apps onto your computer. You can also visit Office.com, login with your Lipscomb credentials and download using the link provided there.
