What Is It?
Virus Removal is the removal of malware on a machine. Lipscomb machines must have our Antivirus suite installed on the device to help protect against malware. Malware can make your computer act funny like taking you to sites you didn't click on, changing your default home page in your browser, make pop up windows appear on your computer, and stealing your information without you knowing.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
All Lipscomb-owned and managed devices.
Where Can I Get It?
You can come to the IT Helpdesk at the bottom floor of the Beaman Library or put in a ticket by clicking the Request link in the upper right corner.
How Do I Use It?
The IT Helpdesk along with the IT staff will handle the removal of malware. To run a manual scan of your machine please refer to the knowledge article: “How to Run a Manual Virus Scan”
