Lipscomb Account and Email Setup

Initial Account Creation & Setup

A student account & email is automatically generated for every student who enrolls in classes at Lipscomb. It only remains active if you are an active, enrolled student taking classes.

An employee account & email is automatically generated when you complete your on-boarding paperwork with HR. Your account is setup by IT at the direction of Human Resources along with your department supervisor or dean. All faculty, staff, and contractors are referred to be using an employee account.

*If you are an employee taking classes, you will not receive a student account and will continue to use your employee account in your role as a student. If you are a student who becomes an employee, we will elevate your account to an employee account. This does not qualify for Student Worker or Graduate Assistant positions.

Follow the appropriate links below for a guide that will walk you through your initial account setup.

Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication, or MFA, is a second authentication that comes after your password (your ‘first’ authentication). The second authentication sends a code or a request that must be verified to allow you to continue signing in. Follow the link below for more information on MFA
